Researchers' Night
26/09/2025
Larissa, Greece

The European Researchers' Night is a large-scale public event that takes place annually across Europe. It's an initiative funded by the European Commission through the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions

In 2025, two Doctoral Candidates (DCs) from the Pharm-ERA project participated in the European Researchers’ Night held in Larissa, Greece. This large-scale public engagement event, funded by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, aims to bring research closer to society and highlight the role of science in everyday life.

During the event, the DCs presented the Pharm-ERA project to a broad audience, including students, families, and the general public. Through interactive discussions and outreach activities, they introduced the project’s objectives and raised awareness about pharmaceutical contaminants in the environment and their impact on ecosystems and human health.

Their participation contributed to strengthening the dialogue between science and society, while also promoting interest in environmental research and European-funded projects among younger audiences. The event provided an excellent opportunity to develop communication skills, engage with diverse audiences, and showcase the societal relevance of the Pharm-ERA project.
